Weekend Design Jam at the Centre for Digital Media, September 2016

Project Management, User Flow, Installation Design, Visual References, Branding and Consistency

At the end of the first week of the master of digital media program in September 2016, students were required to come together to create a children space museum in two days. Our challenge was to create an interactive experience that would teach kids aged 6-10 years old about space. Our team of seven (two programmers, three artists, one game designer and one project manager) quickly created a prototype for a multi-player competitive game that taught kids about gravity, propulsion, and the elements.

We not only delivered the game, but also created a paper prototype for a physical installation suitable for a children's museum. When we were given two more weeks to develop our projects, we created Catronauts, the basis of a game we chose to develop further.
