The Arts Club's 50th anniversary was a time to celebrate the growth of the company from its grassroots origins on Seymour Street, to Canada's largest year-round theatre company with three stages. As part of a strategy to show our patrons that we only achieved this milestone because of our supporters, I worked with our Director of Development for a create a year-long strategy for engagement through various initiatives, culminating in the 50th birthday party on February 4, 2014.

I had three major deliverables, which were connected: the creation of exhibits on the Arts Club's story and on supporters, 22 video interviews of artists and supporters to be used in campaigns throughout the year, and a birthday party and proclamation of the Arts Club's 50th anniversary at the Granville Island Stage and Backstage Lounge. The three deliverables were thematically connected by the theme of why we love theatre, and were all unveiled at the birthday party.

This was the most challenging project of my career, and the one that allowed me to prove to myself that I could be a successful project manager of large-scale and challenging projects with important stakeholders ranging from investors to government officials.
